This unique Gypsy Bag is a Banjara Embroidered Kalchi Bag from the gypsies in Karnataka, India. The bags are made of cotton died with natural dyes from Indian madder roots and hand embellished with intricate Kantha stitching, cowrie shells and unique tassels of naturally dyed boiled wool and metal beads. This bag is an authentic example of traditional handicrafts of Karnataka.
I have refashioned the bag with an adjustable chunky brown suede shoulder strap with Indian gypsy bracelets and added a solid beige interior lining and pocket for durability and to add a contemporary edge to this amazing Indian Boho Gyspy bag.
This is a quality piece with a wonderful visual impact that is one of a kind. A real show stopper statement accessory piece!
