This Gyspy Bag is a really lovely Banjara Embroidered Kalchi Bag from the gypsies in Karnataka India. The bag is made of cotton that is dyed with natural dyes and hand sewn patchwork of fabric and embroidered mirror work, and unique tassels of boiled wool, cowrie shells and metal beads. This bag is an authentic example of traditional handicrafts of Karnataka.
I have refashioned the bag with an adjustable chunky black suede shoulder strap and added a fun interior lining in black and white with an elephant design for durability and to add a contemporary edge to this amazing Indian Boho Gyspy Indian bag.
This is a quality piece with a wonderful visual impact, truly a statement accessory piece that is one of a kind!
Size: 9"h x 9"w inches, 1-1/2" wide adjustable suede leather strap
Cotton fabric that is hand stitched and adorned with tassels of boiled wool, cowrie shells and metal beads. Adjustable shoulder strap in suede with Indian bracelet and an interior lining.
*Small flaws may be visible in the vintage textiles which add the character and uniqueness to the bag.
